What to expect with Fresh French

With Marion's help, you'll gain the confidence to start and hold a conversation with a French native.

Tell your own unique story.

Marion teaches conversational French that you'll actually use in real-life situations. Is music your passion? Or maybe gardening? She'll give you all the tools you need to speak about what matters to you.

Whatever works best for you.

Do you find it easier to learn with visual prompts? Or do you work best with audio recordings? As time goes on, Marion will get to know your strengths and weaknesses and then tailor activities to work for you.

Homework that fits into your life.

You'll get homework every lesson– and the more you do, the faster you will improve. Marion will help you figure out how much you can realistically get done each week and the best way to fit it into your life.

No complex grammar talk.

Forget verb tables and 'La plume de ma tante’, Marion's teaching style is nothing like school. Through gentle drilling and practice, you'll gradually build up useful phrases and learn grammar in context – not just a list in a book.

Like chatting with a friend... in French!

Lessons are informal and friendly – a safe environment where you can improve your conversation skills without feeling self-conscious. On your first lesson, Marion will assess your current level of French, discuss your goals, and simply get to know you.

A focus on correct pronunciation.

Marion is a stickler for good pronunciation. So, you can expect lots of speaking, recording and listening activities to make sure you're getting the sounds just right.
